Complete diets do the heavy lifting

Crested gecko diet (CGD) powders are nutritionally complete — mixed with water, they can be the entire diet. Pangea Fruit Mix is the palatability king, while Repashy MRP Classic is the proven breeder formula.

Offer fresh diet every 24–48 hours in an elevated feeding ledge, and remove uneaten portions before they dry out.

Insects as enrichment

Once or twice a week, offer gut-loaded dubia roaches or crickets dusted with calcium. Hunting keeps geckos active and supports jaw strength and muscle tone.

Size insects no larger than the space between the gecko's eyes, and always dust with an all-in-one like Repashy Calcium Plus.

What to avoid

Never feed baby food, citrus, avocado, or dog and cat food — all common but dangerous internet advice. Avoid pure fruit-only diets long term; they lack the protein and calcium balance of a formulated CGD.
